What is Cystitis?

Cystitis is a painful bladder syndrome that affects millions of women worldwide. Now there is a natural product called d-mannose which can support urinary tract heath!

Millions of women every year are affected with cystitis. It is reported that over half of all women in the UK will get cystitis at some time during their life. However for many women it is not a one of occurrence but an ongoing battle, women who have suffered one UTI appear more susceptible to a recurrence of infection. Although more predominant in females it still affects men children and even our pets.

Cystitis is the medical term for inflammation of the bladder. This occurs when bacteria enter the bladder causing an infection, also referred to as a urinary tract infection. Up to 90% of all urinary tract infections are caused by a bacterium called Escherichia, more commonly known as ‘e-coli’. Not only is a bladder infection at best annoying at worst extremely painful, if left untreated it can become a serious health problem if the infection spreads to the kidneys A simple urine test will determine the cause of the infection. This can be done through a medical practitioner.

Nature supplies d-mannose is effective in the removal of e-coli from our urinary tract. Once the cause of infection has been determined you have a choice of what to do. The conventional treatment is to prescribe a course of antibiotic, however the conventional method is certainly not the only way forward and nor is it always the best. There is a substantial amount of information currently available on the World Wide Web about d-mannose and its ability to cure bladder infections. This is not only from resellers who will naturally promote their product, the positive feedback from studies and trials can also be found along with numerous user forums and testimonials from individuals who not only know it works but also want as many others as possible to know their really is light at the end of the tunnel. Unlike many other alternatives remedies for bladder/cystitis infections, such as the effects of cranberry juice, the effect of d-mannose does not appear to be disputed any where. Why because it really is a safe non toxic highly effective alternative to antibiotics. What d-mannose does not do- It has no adverse side effects, and will not cause gastrointestinal problems, become a precursor of yeast infections and does not become resistant to bacteria.

How d-mannose works

Molecules of mannose are naturally occurring inside the lining cells of the urinary tract. E coli that invades the bladder and urinary tract system, express fimbria (these are molecular hairs which have lectins).once e coli invade the bladder, a bio-molecular attachment occurs which locks the e-coli to the mannose receptors. For many people this would be quickly dealt with by the immune system and white blood cells. However If not dealt with quickly enough infection will arise. This is where we make a choice, either use anti-biotic treatment and kill not only the e coli but also numerous other good bacterium, or simply provide the body with a much richer supply of mannose than the e coli can currently find in the tissue cells, unable to resist the natural attraction to d-mannose, adhesion will occur when the e-coli are coated in free floating mannose molecules in the urine which are then evacuated from the body during voiding

To reiterate supplementing the body with naturally occurring d-mannose is a safe and effective way of eliminating e-coli the cause of up to 90% of infections

D-mannose helps to support and promote a healthy bladder and urinary tract system

The way d-mannose works is distinctive in its own simplicity; it does not kill any of our body’s cells or disrupt our natural micro flora. It attracts only to the e-coli which has been displaced into our urinary tract system and then proceeds to coat the bladder wall. D-mannose is processed by our bodies very quickly. It travels through our digestive system and arrives into our bladder via the kidneys. The e-coli previously attached to the bladder wall and all e-coli currently multiplying in the bladder are then coated forming an even better bond with the d-mannose. It can then simply be washed away during urination. D-mannose is a pure natural stereo isomer of glucose, which supplements the naturally occurring mannose produced by our bodies but which for many of us is not enough. It is a simple process and it works.

How does nature supplies d-mannose work?

E-coli are the cause of up to 90% of all bladder/ cystitis and UTI infections. The traditional method of dealing with a UTI is to prescribe an anti biotic to kill the e-coli which has become displaced within the urinary tract system. Whilst e-coli have its place in the intestinal tract it does not belong in our UTS. Once there it can cause undue harm giving rise to serious irritation and infection, whether it may be cystitis/bladder or UTI. As previously mentioned the traditional method is to treat with a course of antibiotics. However many research studies now indicate that frequent use of antibiotics can produce antibiotic resistant bacteria, so in spite of their clear importance in combating infection , over use could seriously affect your body’s inherent healing potential, which in turn will compromise long term health.

Pure, simple, safe and effective

Nature supplies d-mannose has no known side effects, or drug interactions and is used by adult’s children and even pets.

It is 100% safe to be taken frequently over long periods of time. The amount necessary varies in relation to both the intensity of the infection and our body weight. For example when an adult takes 1 teaspoon a young child would only require half this amount to obtain the same results. As with someone currently in the throes of a severe infection to somebody who wishes to eliminate those first tell tale signs. It is the speed at which d-mannose is excreted into the urine that suggests that it is safe for diabetics and is otherwise recommended for such. However I would suggest that any one with diabetes should still record their blood sugar levels at frequent intervals when using d-mannose.

We will only supply 100% pure bio active d-mannose, of a very high specification. It is important to give your body the best possible chance to fight infection, there for we do not believe in offering a synthetic alternative which may lead to irritation. Many users report almost immediate relief of symptoms within hours of using d-mannose.

Suggestions for use; Nature supplies d-mannose

Because d-mannose has a non offensive slightly sweet taste, it can be dissolved in tea, water, juice or milk. Do not take with acidic drinks such as cranberry or orange. An important thing to realise is that you want to obtain a high enough concentration of d-mannose in the bladder for it to work; the easiest way to do this is to dissolve in 6oz of liquid and then try to refrain from using the toilette too soon afterward (up to 1hr if you can manage that).Recommended use relies directly with the individual and their specific needs, weather you require immediate support or wish to maintain your current bladder health between one and eight teaspoons a day is generally recommended.

D-mannose has widespread awareness among the medical practitioners worldwide. Researchers say that e-coli cause 90% of urinary tract infection. The main function of it is to flush out the e-coli bugs from the urinary tract without damaging the required bacteria, and revitalize the action of the urinary bladder. After entering into the human body, this medicine attracts the e-coli bacterium towards its molecules and after they get attached to the molecules, the medicine kills them. It also helps the body to release the e-coli bugs through urine. It doesn't harm the healthy and useful bacteria of the body, like the other medicines of the same category. Moreover, all the ingredients of the medication are natural; no artificial element is associated with it, that's why it is assured that D-mannose will not harm you in any way.

Bladder infection is the E.

A Urinary Tract Infection (UTI) occurs when bacteria enters the bladder. It makes it's way there through the urethra and there is a chance that it will multiply once it gets to the bladder. UTI's are also known as cystitis or a bladder infection.

A UTI can be extremely uncomfortable but they are easy to treat. The most common cause of a bladder infection is the E. Coli bacterium.

Bladder infection's usually fall under two categories. Either your lower tract or upper tract can become infected. A lower tract infection takes place in the urethra and sometimes the bladder. The second type of infection, upper tract, is more serious. An upper tract infection involves bacteria attacking the kidneys. The bacteria comes from the blood or travels up through the bladder to the kidneys. Another name for a kidney infection is pyelonephritis.

There are many symptoms that will alert you that a UTI is present: A need to urinate with no warning, urinating more often than normal, pain during urination, abnormal looking or smelling urine, lower back pain, pain in the abdominal area or a fever.

If you are experiencing any of these symptoms then you should go see your doctor right away. They will give you an exam of your pelvis, lower back and abdomen. You will need to tell them about the symptoms you have been experiencing. They will take a look at your medical history in order to give you the most accurate diagnosis possible.

If you choose to go with conventional medicine then you will likely receive a prescription for an antibiotic. You might want to pickup some OTC painkillers and anti-inflammatories to complement the prescription the doctor gives you. Keep in mind that using an antibiotic to treat a bladder infection might make you more prone to getting them in the future. Using antibiotics also makes it more likely that a yeast infection or thrush will develop in the future.

Going with natural remedies can help to stop both the pain and infection itself. Make sure you talk with your doctor about going this route. Also, speak with a homeopath about which herbs would work best for you. Buchu, St. Johns Wort, Lemon Balm, Bilberry, Avena Sativa and Arctostaphylos Uva-Ursi will help to prevent further infection. They support the immune system and strengthen your bladder so that it is not prone to having infection spread through it.

Massage, acupuncture, nutrition therapy and exercises designed to strengthen the pelvic muscles are all helpful in dealing with a current or recurring UTI. They will help you deal with the discomfort and strengthen your urinary system.

What is a bladder control problem?

It is someone who has trouble stopping or starting the flow of urine from the bladder. Incontinence is another type of bladder control problem and is described as an uncontrollable leaking of urine from the bladder.

People with bladder control issues have a health problem and a social problem. Everyone knows what the health problem is but let me explain what I mean by the social problem. Anyone that has a bladder control problem will suffer from social embarrassment. They don't want to go out in public or be with their friends because this problem can be noticeable and they usually limit their time away from their home. They make themselves more and more isolated from people around them and can lead to depression.

Physical problems that are caused by incontinence are bladder infections, skin irritations and infections, falls, fractures, and disturbance with their sleep. This is why it is so important for people to get to a health professional to find out what they can do to solve the problem. Most people are too embarrassed to talk about it but this problem will not go away and it could gets worse and would end up with an even more serious problem. I know that is easier said than done but it is very important.

Here are some of the symptoms to look out for. 1. Urgency - the feeling of having to urinate very soon.

2. Hesitancy - when trying to urinate but you have a difficult time getting a urine stream going.
3. Frequency - having to urinate often.

Dysuria - a painful or burning sensation when trying to urinate. This usually has to do with bladder infection or possible kidney stone.

Common Vitamins and over the counter products can help with treating Bladder Infections such as Vitamin C, Vitamin A, L-cysteine, Vitamin E, Zinc and Cranberry Juice.

Vitamin C can reduce the risk of developing urinary bladder cancer in smokers and drinkers.

Vitamin A is an important immune system stimulant. DR. Nauss reported a reduced T-cell immune response in patients with a Vitamin A deficiency. Vitamin A deficiency may increase the risk of cancers of the lung, larynx, bladder, esophagus, stomach, colon, rectum and prostate. Vitamin A is stored in the liver and fat cells of the human body and can reach toxic levels. DO NOT take more than the recommended dosage of Vitamin A.

L-cysteine is another immune system stimulant but should always be taken in conjunction with Vitamin C to reduce the risk of developing stone formation in the kidneys and bladder.

Vitamin E accelerates wound healing and aids in the functioning of the immune system.

Zinc also has a profound influence on the body's ability to resist disease.

Cranberry Juice may also help prevent kidney and bladder infections. If you are taking COUMADIN then check with your doctor before using cranberry.

Types of bladder problems.

For at least 80% of people who suffer from multiple sclerosis, bladder control is one of the most frustrating symptoms. For many patients it often means that they cannot control their bladders and experience periods of leaking and the need to urinate urgently. For others it can mean exactly the opposite where their ability to urinate is hampered significantly.

Researchers have found that the blocking of nerve signals to the muscles that control the bladder in a multiple sclerosis patient is the most likely cause of this problem. The lesions that occur on the spinal cord are what cause the signals to be either blocked or slowed down. This affects one of two muscles; either the bladder muscles, which result in the inability to hold urine in, or the sphincter muscles, which spasm causing them to contract and not allow the urine to flow out.

Both of the problems associated with the bladder and multiple sclerosis can result in far more serious complications if left untreated. However for incontinence the most obvious problem is more mental than it is physical, the frequent need to go to the bathroom can become embarrassing and lead to the need for adult incontinence underwear. It can also lead to problems with bed wetting or the need to get up several times during the night known as Nocturia.

On the other hand if you have problems emptying your bladder with multiple sclerosis, the problems are more likely to be medical in nature. If you cannot urinate regularly or do not empty your bladder you risk the possibility of a urinary tract infection. It can also result in damage to your kidneys or the formation of kidney stones which can not only be painful but can cause damage to your kidneys.

Correcting these problems should start with a visit to your doctor who may offer a range of solutions to help you deal with them. For those who have incontinence issues dietary changes are usually among the first recommendations including reducing the consumption of caffeine and alcohol combined with modifications in your drinking and restroom habits. For those with voiding problems self catheterization has been used with great success to help your body get back in the routine of urinating, often this leads to normal functions in a matter of weeks or months.

The treatments for a bladder ...

...condition will depend on the exact root cause but can include such things as bladder retraining, surgery, medication or lifestyle alterations.

Most problems associated with the bladder can be cured or at the very least managed in such a way that their impact on a person's lifestyle is kept to a minimum.

Some of the simple things you can do to ensure optimum bladder health are ensuring your fluid intake is adequate and is well spaced out over the day; avoid substances that are known to irritate the bladder like alcohol or coffee; get plenty of exercise and make sure your diet is full of all the essential nutrients.

Having a good routine for your bladder and bowel helps keep your systems working efficiently.

If you have developed a problem that seems serious you should make sure you see your doctor straight away rather than putting it off as is common with these sorts of conditions.

In the majority of cases there is no need to suffer in silence as there are treatment options available.

The causes of urinary incontinence ...

...can include a range of diseases and conditions, physical trauma, medication or genetics. It can also be triggered by psychological issues and severity ranges from minor, infrequent leakages to much more severe cases,

The problem often manifests itself with strong, sudden urges to urinate, or a difficulty in getting the flow of urine started. Dribbling soon after urination is another common symptom.

More serious conditions can include hematuria (blood in the urine) and dysuria (pain on urination).

Some of the lifestyle factors which can contribute to the onset of problems are smoking, lack of exercise and a poor diet.

The process of pregnancy and delivering your child can cause bladder problems in women, while in men prostate problems often have associated bladder problems.

There are also certain medications which can have adverse side effects related to the bladder, and some diseases and physical injuries can result in bladder function being impaired.
